Obituary

Ralph Allaby Hicks, 93, of North Fort Myers, passed away May 5, 2019 at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, FL. Born November 29, 1925 in New Brunswick, Canada, he was the son of Bynon Hicks and Ada Allaby. Ralph proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. He later worked as a governmental budget analyst prior to his retirement. Additional announcement information is forthcoming from the family. Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.

    Aunt Joan, I was so sad to hear of Uncle Ralph's passing. He was always so nice to us kids. He was so funny and always smiling and that's how I'll remember him. He was blessed to have had you by his side loving him for all those years. And now he is blessed to be reunited with Karen. I love you and am praying for your continued comfort and peacefulness. - Holly

    Joan: So sad that he is gone but we know we will all meet again in heaven. Even now, he is probably chatting it up with Chuck; talking about cars. I'll always remember Ralph for his very corny jokes and his cheeriness. Love you Joan. Carole

    Ralph was my younger brother and the things I love to think about.
    He was getting a driving ticket in Jersey so he turned up the volume
    as he was listening to a Billy Graham message so the officer had to hear
    the message also.
    Another time we played Onward Christian Soldiers with our harmonicas at a rescue mission\downtown Philly. I know I'll see Ralph again in Heaven.

    So many great memories of our brother in law Ralph his great smile , showing us around when we moved to Florida & spending days in pool & sitting around having our afternoon snacks & drinks on the Lanai . Mostly I loved listening to all his stories & especially how he met Joan , fell in love & stayed in love with her all the rest of his life .We miss you Ralph but we will see you again someday Love Rob & Nancy
