Funeral Mass for Ralph J Stuligross, New Smyrna Beach FL who died December 24, 2013 will be celebrated 11:00 AM Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 998 Fr Donlan Drive New Smyrna Beach FL.
Ralph was born May 2, 1930 in Detroit, MI. He graduated from the University of Michigan in 1952 with a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering. He served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954 with duty in Japan and Taiwan. He worked for General Electric until 1964 where he pioneered the vacuum induction melting and processing of high temperature super alloys for jet engine application. He joined Howmet Corporation in 1964 and pioneered the continuous casting of specialty alloys in bar and rod. He was Vice President of Alloy Operations and retired in 1990.
He and his wife moved from Bingham Farms, MI to New Smyrna Beach in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Dolores, daughter Sue and Mark Friedrich, son Dennis and Lauren Stuligross and grandchildren David, Michael, Haley and Brian.
