Obituary

Ralph (Bud) Stoll born May 30, 1935 in Barberton, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home in Naples, Florida on September 30, 2021. Bud met the love of his life, Shirlee in the sixth grade. Bud and Shirlee wed in 1955 while Bud was serving in the United States Marines. Together they had three children. Michael Earl Stoll (Tanya) Hudsonville, Michigan, Daniel Ray Stoll (Lorraine) Naples, Florida and Vickie Lynn Santullo (Michael) Clearwater, Florida. Along with his wife, Shirlee and three children and their spouses, Bud is survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Bud is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Donna Stoll, Barberton, Ohio and his granddaughter, Karly Stoll, Naples, Florida.

Bud proudly served in the USMC in the motor pool. Following his service to our country, he owned and operated a Marathon service station in his hometown of Barberton for many years. He later taught automotive mechanics at Mentor High school and at Lake County Vocational Tech Center in nearby Concord, Ohio. After relocating to Naples, Florida in 1974, Bud was an instructor at Lorenzo Walker Vocational School. Later he worked as the maintenance manager for Wyndemere Country Club until his retirement in 1997.

Bud and Shirlee enjoyed many activities throughout their 66 years of marriage including their shared love of music and dancing, travel with car clubs, a good game of Euchre with family and friends, and RV travel across the country. In recent years, Bud looked forward to his daily games of pool at Riviera Estates but his passion for cars never wavered. He restored over 40 antique cars in his lifetime. In 1981, Bud founded the Naples chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. He served as president and was active in that club for years to come. Bud often said he had owned more than 120 cars throughout his life.

Bud and Shirlee were members of Pursue Church. Should friends desire, a contribution may be made in remembrance to Pursue Church at https://www.pursue.church/give.html or mail to Pursue Church, 15205 Collier Blvd, Suite 201, Naples, FL 34117.
