Randy Wayne Self died peacefully in his sleep Feb 6, 2021. He was born August 11, 1956 in Mishawaka, Indiana. Preceded death by his father Paul Troxel, and Mother Vera Troxel.
He is survived by his Partner of 21 years Vita Davis, he considered Brian Weagraff as his stepson, Daughter Kristina Self Illinois, two grandchildren Lauren Owens, and Brenden Leigh Illinois.
Randy worked in South Orlando at Southland Corporation for many years. He then became an outside salesperson for the construction industry.
Randy had a passion for fishing. He loved to fish offshore with family and friends. Many good times were spent on the St. Johns River along with fishing in Ft. Pierce, and Marathon, Florida.
Randy’s home was in Astor Florida along Blue Creek. He spent countless hours on the St Johns River, Blue Creek, and Lake George. Silver Glenn Springs was also a favorite spot of his.
Randy enjoyed life to the fullest and was a joy to be around. NASCAR was his favorite sport and he did not miss a Sunday race. We all love Randy, and we will miss him dearly.
