Ray Edward Wilson, 77, passed away June 21, 2014 at Bert Fish Medical Center in New Smyrna Beach, FL. He was born November 17, 1936 in Parsons, Kansas, son of William T. Wilson and Mary Ann Baxter Wilson. After graduating from Kansas State College of Pittsburg, KS, with a BS degree in Math, he received his commission in the U.S. Navy. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict. Upon leaving the Navy, he was employed by Univac and later by Computer Science Corporation where he retired as a computer scientist in 1991. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, HenryEtta McKinley Wilson; two daughters, Susanne Rae Wilson Hewer/Tom of Cullman, AL and Karen Marie Wilson Schwab/Steve of Oldsmar, FL; four grandsons Jason Hewer, Evan Hewer/Rachel, Matthew Schwab and Nathan Schwab. His hobbies were golf, photography, stained glass, genealogy, competition chili cooking & solving jigsaw puzzles. He was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made either to the American Cancer Society or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A "Celebration of Life" service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, June 26 at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL.
