Obituary

Raymond Ronald Beck, 78, of Fort Myers Florida, passed peacefully at his home on November 9th, 2019 after a long battle with lung cancer.  He was born October 31, 1941 in Waukomis, OK to Raymond Roger Beck & Velva Ione Smith.  Raymond worked as a Certified Master Technician from 1960 to 2005, receiving the General Motors “Mark of Excellence” award, as well as numerous Platinum, Silver & Gold awards.

Raymond served in the National Guard, was a Police Officer, and a volunteer Fireman in the 1970’s, all in Cherryvale Kansas.

Raymond was married May 28, 1961 to Rose Jeanette DeWitt in Independence, Kansas.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, daughter Rhonda Jean Beck, brother Bill Beck, and sister Ada Buel.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Rose Beck, daughter Rebecca Graves-Lynch of Bonita Springs Florida, son John Beck of Holly Springs Mississippi, sister Debbie Vines of Little Rock Arkansas, sister Mary Holloway of Independence Kansas, as well as eight grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Raymond enjoyed fishing and hunting, and “Ron” was famous for his constant pranks and ornery sense of humor!

    Uncle Ronnie will be missed by all his family and friends he had. He fought a hard battle but is now at rest and free from that terrible illness. May the family find comfort in these days ahead. Love and prayers to all the family.
