Obituary
Raymond Jerry Harper, 80, resident of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on July 31, 2023. He was born in Lake Worth, Florida on September 12, 1942.
He is survived by his sons Ray Harper, Jr. and Dalbert Harper and his daughter Diana Williams(Roy), his granddaughter, Ashley and grandson Roy of Tampa, Florida, his beloved sisters; Glenda Fay DeMotte of Port Orange, Florida, Margaret Robertson of Roseburg, Oregon, and Paula Harper of New Mexico, brothers-in-law; Michael Patskin, Bill Patskin and sister-in-law Julie Riedel Patskin, his nieces, Peggy Lynn Wood of Lantana, Florida, Susan Ferris of Port Orange, Florida, his nephews; Jeffrey Landress of South Carolina, Thomas Landress and Robert Landress of Lake Worth, Florida, and his great-neices and nephews Jaden and Toby Flanagan and Kenny Donovan. He is also survived by his favorite cousin, Daniel Luke, Sr., who was like a brother to him. They both always enjoyed fishing together.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Patskin Harper, his parents; Henry Ned Harper and Burnease Sapp, and his sister Opalee Bray
Raymond went to the Florida School for the Deaf & Blind in St. Augustine, Florida. He has worked in Dry Wall for 44 years. He enjoyed fishing. He lived in Tampa, Florida for many years before relocating to Port Orange, Florida where he was cared for by his sister Glenda.
