Raymond L. Harris died Dec 20, 2016 in Silver Springs Florida at the age of 87 after a sudden illness. Born in Keene, NH in 1929, he moved to Florida in 1994 to enjoy the sunshine. He began working at Chase Tree Service in Keene at the age of 16 and eventually became the owner working closely with all the local utility companies and providing tree services all over New England. He drove stock cars from 1950-1973, racing dirt tracks all over New England and New York. It was his passion and he was quite successful at it. Later in life, he decided to embark on a second career at Walmart in Ocala, FL as the Security Manager and then became the Head of Maintenance having the ability to fix anything. He is survived by the love of his life, Beverly; 3 daughters, Sandy Stubbs of Silver Springs, FL, Jean and Joan of Keene, NH; a son Randall of Denham Springs, LA; 2 step children, Vickie Gendron and Mark Parker; 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In carrying out his wishes, there will be no services. If anyone so desires, donations to the Estelle House of Hospice of Marion County in Ocala Florida would be greatly appreciated.
