DOUTHWRIGHT

Raymond P. Douthwright, 89, passed away Monday May 21, 2018 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.  He was born in Springfield, Mass. to Alfred and Louise (Logan) Douthwright, on November 5, 1928.  He retired in 1994 from Northeast Utilities Co.  Ray was very proud to be one of the founders of the John Schinelli Renal Assistance fund.  He was also a member and active volunteer of many other organizations.  He enjoyed playing golf with friends in New Smyrna Beach.

He leaves his wife of 42 years, Marie (Profiglio) Douthwright; two children, Jean Douthwright, (Richard) of New Smryna Beach, and Michael Douthwright, (Joellyn) of Westfield, Mass.; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grand children, and his  brother Carl of Wilbraham, Mass.  He predeceased his first wife, Ruth Douthwright, (Vassar), his daughter in law, Carolyn Douthwright, (Przybyla), his 5 brothers; David, Alfred Earl, Donald, Merton, and John, and 2 sisters, Emma and Jean.
