Obituary
Raymond Frank Yaklovich, age 84, of Haines City, Florida, (formerly Milwaukee, Wisconsin) passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2023. Ray was born July 7, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to John and EvaYaklovich. He was married to Kathlee (Kitty) Sadowski on September 26, 1959, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He apprenticed out of high school for Rex Chain Belt, Incorporated, and continued his career there until he retired in 2000. He enjoyed spending time with family camping, visiting Disney World and Las Vegas, and following the Milwaukee Brewers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Tampa Bay Lightening. He also loved playing golf and card games. Ray and Kitty moved to Florida 20 years ago and enjoyed the warm weather and hosting family and friends who came to visit.
Ray is survived by their loving sons, Gregory (Michelle), Steve (Christine), James; grandchildren Nicole Bonlender (Scott), Adam, Shelby (Caitlin) Brehmer, Kyle, Eric, Josh, and Amber; three great-grandchildren, Brycen, Landon, Kade; brother Dennis; sister Diane Jozwiak; brother-in-law Randy Sadowski; sister-in-law Bea Meka; dear friends John and Shari Pentek, Tom Churka, Bob Hakemian.
He was preceded in death by his adored wife Kitty, parents John and Eva, parents-in-law Peter and Gertrude Sadowski, sisters-in-law Esther Yaklovich and Bobi Sadowski, brothers-in-law Jim Jozwiak, Gary Sadowski, and Wally Meka, and life-long friends Dick and Vera Oertel, and Nancy Churka.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Bob Hakemian for his friendship and much help that he extended to Ray over the years.
A Celebration of Ray’s life will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, starting at 1:00 p.m. at Tuscan Hall (409 Delafield Street, Waukesha, Wisconsin). There will be a message and eulogy brought by his son Greg, followed by a meal. The family asks everyone to PLEASE stay for food and fellowship.
