Obituary
Rebecca “Becky” Latham, 62, formerly of Miami, Florida, passed away suddenly, with her daughter, Tiffany, at her side, after a year-long battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, that she had just proudly conquered. Sadly, her heart could not take any more. Becky recently relocated to Tampa from Orlando area to be closer to Moffitt Cancer Center for treatments but was really beginning to like the area. Becky was a graduate of Hialeah Miami Lakes High School in 1976, Miami Dade Community College in 1983, and University of Central Florida in 1998. Becky has made many friendships in her careers at Sunterra Resorts, Wyndham Destinations, Diamond Resorts, and of course, Blue Haven Pools & Spas, just to name a few.
Becky fully lived her YOLO life and enjoyed being with family and friends more than anything. She also enjoyed traveling, genealogy, cuddling with her chihuahua, Monte, and the beach was truly her happy place. Becky was a beautiful soul and lived life fully with all she had. She was generous, grateful, kind, caring and loved by so many.
Becky is survived by her father Gene Latham (Barbara), Winter Haven, daughter Tiffany Shafer (Chad), Ocoee, sister Lynda Latham Hollers, Ocoee, grandchildren whom she adored with all her heart, Zachary Wallace-Cyr, Lauren Shafer, and Luc Shafer, Aunt Shirley Latham (Carl), nieces Larisa Manin and BeLynn Hollers, Amber Rayburn (Joel), April Leveque, and so many cousins, family members and close friends that she loved so dearly. Becky is preceded in death by her mother, Laura Latham, and partner, Raymond DiCarlo.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 6:00p.m. at Purpose Life Church – 13640 West Colonial Drive, # 110, Winter Garden. Light refreshments will be held during the gathering immediately following the celebration of life.
In her final wishes, Becky requested that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to the charity of your choice.
