Obituary
On September 1, 2017, Reinhardt Joseph Licht from Dunnellon, FL was peacefully taken into God’s arms, surrounded by family, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born on January 19, 1954 in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to Reinhardt Joseph Licht, Sr. and Frances Teresa Licht. He leaves behind his wife Nancy K. Licht of 35 years, and two sons, Dr. Joseph Licht and Coach Travis Licht, both of Dunnellon, FL. One of 12 children, he was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. His surviving siblings include Delores Rutherford, Robert Licht, and Midge Loomis, who reside in southern Michigan, and Bernadine Kull, Patricia Simons, Jacqueline Tuthill, and Kay Groth, who reside in central Florida. He had 87 nieces and nephews, 134 great nieces and nephews, 99 great-great nieces and nephews, and 2 great-great-great nieces.
He was a caring and fun-loving person, lightheartedly known by many as “the agitator.” Hardworking, he owned and operated a fence contracting company for most of his adult life. His passions were sports, music, and cars. His life was guided by his Christian faith and love for family. He stayed very involved in his sons’ lives, and was known for mentoring young people. He will be dearly missed by a multitude whose lives he touched.
