    Dear Renate,
I only met you once but you were my great grandmother. I now wish I had cherished and talked to you more I am now learning German as a way to feel closer to you and I know you wont be reading this but thank you for coming here with my great grandfather. Now I get to have people across the ocean as my family as well and I hope to meet them one day.
Ich werde dich und Debbie für immer vermissen, ich liebe dich, tolle Oma

    -Sincerely your loving Grandson Caden

Dear Renate, I am still missing you. I do not go out that much anymore but I know that if you were still here, we would be all over Orlando and meeting for lunch at our favorite spots. Happy Birthday my friend. Love, Daphne.

First I would like to thank the person who put the notification at our bus stop, that was so thoughtful and kind. I was so shocked; it seemed like I had only spoken to her the week before. I only knew her from riding the bus and that she lived down the street from me. We talked often, she always asked about my grandkids. Sometimes we would share a table at Paneras when they were busy and just enjoy our talks. I will miss your warm smile and the kind words you would share with others around you. My daughter always said you reminded her of her grandmother(my mom) and I thought so too. I will miss you Renate and will think of you often as I wait for the bus or as I sit in Paneras. Prayers to your family, she spoke of you often.

Our precious Renate, friend and coworker at JCPenney, Florida Mall. I cannot forget the first day you became a part of our Dress department Team under manager Beth Fleming Brown. She was so excited to have stolen you away from Morrison's Cafeteria there in the Mall! It was my pleasure to later have the opportunity to be your manager and friend for many years to follow. We will miss your bright spirit and know that you will always be smiling with us from heaven.

My deepest condolences to the family of the late Renate Overst. I was given the privilege of meeting you back in 2009 when I came to visit my Grandmother. I can remember you were this little figure who could light up an entire room with your smile and warm energy. It was a pleasure to meet with you and I know how much you meant to my Grandmother. You will be sadly missed. May your dear memories bring comfort to all. My prayers are with your family at this time.

I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family of Renate. She was a such a sweet, kind lady and a good friend to my mother. She always made me laugh and smile whenever I would see her. I was totally heartbroken to hear of her passing.

You are in my thoughts ...

    Karen Weir

My dearest Renate, I still can't believe you are gone. You were my neighbor and friend for almost 9 years. The thought of never seeing you or talking to you or walking beside you again breaks my heart. You were such a joy to be around. I loved picking you up in the mornings to drive you to panera bread before your shift started at JC Penney. I always looked forward to seeing you get off the bus when I was walking my dogs. You always had a smile on your face and you brought one to every person you came in touch with. I will miss you every day. God has welcomed you into his loving arms. All my love to your daughter, son and grandson. My prayers and sorrow go out to them. I love you dear friend always!

    Renate,
From the second knew I am still in disbelief. You were my very best friend, my mother, my grandmother all rolled up in one. I will never forget the times we had, the talks, your stories or your laugh.
The world is not the same without you. Every time I pass by your little spot at panera it will never be the same. To see you there brightened my entire day and I would always stop for a hug.
You were my First friend at jcpenneys, in fact you were the first smiling face I saw and welcomed be with open arms when we first met in 2005.
you kept me under your wing ever since.
    We love you dearly.
    -Your little friend Amarah
