Renee Adele Gregory, 67 of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday early morning July 7, 2017 at the Halifax Health Center Hospice Ormond Beach, Florida.

Renee was born in Harlem Hospital New York City to Natalie Frances Marable and Royal Dean Watkins on December 7, 1949.  She began her nursing career after she graduated from Grace H. Dodge High School 1967 in Bronx, NY.  From her marriage to Cecil Xavier Gregory on December 14, 1968 in the Bronx NY, she had three children. She worked as a Registered Nurse for several private nursing home institutions for the aged in New York City until she retired in 2003. 

Renee is preceded in death by her father (1957) and mother (2014).

Renee is survived by her son Craig Gregory and daughter-in-law Evelyn of Charlotte NC, her daughters Jeneen M. Gregory of Charlotte NC, Cecina A. Diaz and son-in-law Erick (Aby) Diaz of Daytona Beach Fl., Sisters Adrienne Watkins of Bronx NY, Natalie Carol Allen of Bronx NY, Brenda Davis and brother-in-law Terence Davis Lexington SC and sister Rhondalyn Allen of Bronx NY, Grandchildren Matthew L. Gregory, Sofia A. Gregory, Sevin X. Diaz. Niece Shasheena Ashfield, Nephews Terence Davis Jr. and Jalen Davis, Aunt Janice Scott and a Host of other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. 

The family of Renee wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Medical and nursing staff at the Florida Memorial Medical Center Daytona Beach, the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Florida as well as the nursing staff at the Halifax Health Center Hospice Ormond Beach, Florida for their professional care of our mother while in each of their care.

To all our family and friends we thank you for all your thoughts, notes and kind messages during this time of our loss. Thank you for all your support.
