Obituary

Rhys Calvin Wilton, 36, of Debary, FL passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019. Rhys was born on August 7, 1982 in Toronto, Canada.  He received his bachelor’s degree from Jacksonville University and was a successful businessman.  Rhys was the loving, caring father to Bryn and Andrea Wilton.  His girls were the light of his life.  Rhys had a passion for sports and was a fierce competitor.  He loved tennis, the NY Giants, and watching (and quoting) movies.   He was known for his humor, his smile, and his kind compassionate spirit.  Rhys is survived by his two cherished daughters, his mother, Patrice and her partner Ralph, his father Larry and his wife Pat, his sister Kristina and her family.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. www.afsp.org

    Our hearts are broken over the loss of Rhys.
    We have known Rhys since he was 2 years old.
    We spent many wonderful times with the Wilton family from Toronto to Australia, England and New Jersey and Florida, and Ottawa.
    We have so many fond memories of Rhys growing up.
    I especially remember when we stayed with them in Australia, Rhys was quite little, but he told this very funny joke to all the adults....I think of this joke from time to time, and I thought of it early last week....it always makes me laugh.
    In England, Neil bought Rhys the inappropriate gift of water balloons....which he proceeded to launch into the far off neighbors backyards....we were all laughing hysterically....and I will never forget those spontaneous fun moments we had with Rhys.
    Dear Rhys we will always remember you as the adorable, sweet little boy....who turned into a fine young man.
    We are so terribly saddened by this loss.
