Obituary
Richard Alan Colee, 70, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Florida Hospital South. Born in Daytona Beach, FL to Floyd and Virginia Colee, he lived most of his life in Central Florida – including Brooksville, Orlando, Deland, New Smyrna Beach and Apopka. Also, while in the Army – he spent several years in Germany.
Rick was a kind man with a gentle soul who would do anything possible to help anyone in need. He retired from AT&T after 30 years of service (formerly Southern Bell & BellSouth). He was an electronics genius and enjoyed building and working on computers. In his spare time, he enjoyed building almost anything, watching movies and playing with his yorkies, Zeke and Sammy.
Rick married his best friend, Linda Lou Wilcox, and had two children; Jason Colee of Tavares, FL and Nicole Colee Gargasz and husband Nick Gargasz of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by his sister Sandra Messori and husband Roland Messori of Ventura, CA and brother Jeff Colee and wife Lisa Minnick of Orlando, FL, as well as his many loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24th at 12:00pm followed by a reception at the Coronado Community United Methodist Church, 201 South Peninsula Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, FL.
