Obituary
Richard “Dick” F. Clookey, of Massena, New York and recently Summerfield, Florida, age 77, passed away from complications of myasthenia gravis on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at UF Health the Villages hospital, surrounded by family. He was a 1962 graduate of Massena Central High School and worked as a tool and die maker for General Motors in Massena, New York and Bedford, Indiana. He served in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Independence, during the Vietnam war and was an active member of the American Legion, Amvets, VFW and the Elks. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helen, their son Bob (Donna) of Northwest Arkansas, their daughter, Tina Rogers of Bloomington, Indiana and five grandchildren; Sarah (Robert) Andrews, Katie & Emma Clookey and Alayna & Koen Rogers. He is also survived by his sisters; Sharon (Alan) McGrath, Carol (Rick) Collins, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman & Cecile Clookey. There will be no service at this time. A celebration of life will take place this summer in Massena, New York.
