Obituary
On Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, Richard George Farley, 74, passed away peacefully at Hope Hospice in
Cape Coral Florida. He was the son of George Farley and Edna Downs and was predeceased by
his brother Robert Farley and sister Judith Bono. Surviving are his daughter Allison Cassell, her
husband Korey, and two grandchildren, of Phoenix Arizona, his brothers Edward Farley, Raymond
Farley, and David Farley, and his sister Mary Lou Farley Anderson. Richard was born in Jersey
City, NJ., where he lived and worked his entire life. He was a baseball coach for West Side Little
League, where he led his team to a championship season. He drove a truck for New Penn for over
30 years, and was a career-long member of the Teamsters. Richard also spent many years as an
honorary member of the Moose Lodge at 60 West Side Avenue in Jersey City New Jersey, where
he had many friends and spent many happy years.
Memorial service information will follow in the coming weeks as a result of escalating public health
concerns related to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
