Obituary

Richard was born in Newton Massachusetts and came to this area in 1987. He served in the US Navy during WW II and retired as a finance manager from General Electric with 35 years of service.  He was active with Citizens on Patrol with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department and Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Bert Fish Medical Center Auxilary, the Volusia Crime Prevention Association and was an Altar Server at the 7:00 AM Mass at Sacred Heart Church.  He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 59 years Doris, son Richard and his wife,  Linda Trudo of Titusville, daughter Nancy Trudo of New Smyrna Beach, brother Arthur Trudo of Newton, MA, sisters Audrey Oldfield of Wolfboro, NH, Carol Kenney of Scottsdale, AZ and four grandchildren, Andrew, William, Stephanie and Caitlyn.       Memorial donations are requested to Hospice of Volusia Southeast Care Center 4140 South Ridgewood Ave Edgewater FL 32141. Funeral Mass for Richard K Trudo, 83, New Smyrna Beach FL who died Tuesday, September 28, 2010 will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 988 Father Donlon Drive New Smyrna Beach FL.     Dear Doris;
    Dick is in a much better place now with our Lord.He no longer is pain. We were glad to have known him and be his friend. He will be missed by many people who was his friend. May he rest now with the Lord.He will always be in our minds and hearts.

    To the Trudo Family. in this time of sorrow we want to send our condolence as he is now in a better place with no more pain , be proud of him as he raised a good Son, Daughter and was a proud Grandfather Rest in Peace .
