Richard L. Davidson, age 81, died on November 8, 2021, in Wildwood, FL.
Richard is survived by his wife Rita, of Wildwood, FL; his son Kevin and Rebekah Davidson of Montverde, Fl, his daughter Deborah and Tim Kelly of Ocklawaha, FL, daughter Tricia and John Shatney of Colobrook, NH. His grandchildren Alex Shatney, Andrew Shatney, Stephen Davidson, Bryant Davidson, Casey Picon and Nikki Davidson and his great grand children Scottie Picon, Sammie Picon, Kristian Picon, Johnathan Davidson, Hunter Davidson, Quinn Davidson and Chole Davidson. He is preceded in death by his parents Leon and Irene Shea and his brother Don Davidson of Nashua, NH.
Richard was born April 21, 1940, in Nashua, NH, to parents Leon Davidson and Irene Shea. He graduated from Nashua High School in Nashua, NH with a degree in General Education. In 1958 he worked for Edgecomb Steel where he worked for more than 20 years. He than moved to Orlando, FL where he was a transportation driver for 8 years at Disney. Richard was a great family man and a loving father. He married Rita M. McKenzie in Lowell, Mass, they were married for 59 years and the couple had three children together Kevin, Deborah and Tricia. He loved and adored his dog Sierra.
Richard was a social and active man who was deeply involved in family time for the majority of his life. He enjoyed cruising, poker and riding his golf cart. His family and friends will always remember him as a great Red Sox, Patriots and Tampa Bay Buc’s fan.
A celebration of life is scheduled for Richard on April 23, 2022 at Kevin’s house, more details will be posted on Facebook or you may contact the family directly.
