Obituary

Richard Martin Spina Jr., 58, of Cape Coral, passed away July 1, 2020. Born July 13, 1961 in Queens, NY., he was the son of Richard M. Spina Sr. and Lucille Cochrane. Richard worked as a chef and owned his own business as a painter/handy man. He later went to Edison State College and earned his associates degree. Surviving are his son Richard C. Spina, daughter Ashley N. Madrid, brothers David and Vinny Spina, sister Julia DeStefano, and grandson Christian Madrid. Visitation will be on Saturday July 11, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. and from 5:00 to 7:00 pm., at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, 4320 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL., 33966. Services will be on Sunday July 12, 2020 at 11:00; also at the funeral home.

    It was a pleasure getting to know Rich Sr. Or “Bonzo” these past few years. Gonna miss the knowledge he would kick and the little zingers or one liners he was always ready to deliver. A great man indeed we have lost.

    I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I got to know your dad the over the last few years, he was a good man and I enjoyed him. I admired how father and son were like best friends. Hang in there RC and treasure the memories.
