I considered Richard a very special friend. As I walk around the corner from his house, I expect to see him walking toward me. He always had something to say, or something to ask, or a story to tell. Even when he wasn't feeling well, he loved to talk. The last time I saw him, he told me he was ready to go. He had done all he wanted to do, and seen all he wanted to see. I used to laugh at how he and Rochelle went all over Florida for breakfast or lunch and his special doughnut place. Rochelle said he was at peace when he died with a smile on his face. I already miss you, Richard, so much! Rest in peace, my friend!!

Being an only child, my parents were my 1st and ever since, best friends! My heart aches with despair knowing I’ll never see my daddy again. His life, his influence, his energy will always be linked to mine and I now take comfort in that. It is also comforting knowing that he is no longer in pain and finally at peace. My Dad, will forever be in my heart!
I love and miss you Dad,
    Love, your Daughter.
