Obituary

Richard Lynn Templeton passed away on September 21, 2023 in Titusville, FL. He was born on December 16, 1941 in El Dorado, Arkansas, and moved to Miami, Florida as a very young child. He grew up in South Florida, and became a high school math teacher in 1965 at Miami Jackson High School. He spent the next 30 years with a robust career teaching math and coaching football at various educational institutions across the state of Florida, making friends and memories everywhere he went. He is preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Lil, his parents, Willis R. Templeton, Viola and Arthur Hild, his brother Bill Templeton, and friends and family that have gone before him. He is survived in death by his three children, (Travis, Alyssa, and Amanda “AJ” Templeton), two grandchildren (Austyn and Emmett Templeton), three wonderful sisters (Barbara Ann Perrotte, Sandy Boyd, and Pat Kuboske), as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his family, playing and singing on his guitar and banjo, teaching and coaching, and tinkering around the house and in the yard. He will be deeply missed and thought of often by all of those who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held at North Brevard Shrine Club in Titusville, FL, October 15, 2023 from 11am-1pm.
