I am both shocked and saddened as to the news of Rick's passing. I saw him last summer and he was his typical jovial self. I had the pleasure of fishing and photographing with Rick on a few occassions and our paths in the industry passed quite frequently. He always displayed a bright disposition and you could tell he had a great soul. The marlin will miss him and the industry will as well. Hey Ricky.. Keep your lines in the water and some frosties in the fridge. I will see you there sometime..

I had the pleasure of fishing with Ricky in both the Atlantic and Pacific as well as transiting the Panama Canal with Rick in 2003. I'll always remember the fantastic meals he cooked and shared with all of us on the dock. I knew whenever I arrived in a new location and saw Rick there, I had a friend I could rely on.
