Obituary

Rita Mary Beedle, 86 New Smyrna Beach FL died Saturday, July 16, 2011. Rita was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut and came to this area in 1971 from Ormond Beach. She and her husband earlier owned and operated His and Her’s Dress Shop in Daytona Beach before developing the Sugar Mill Ruins Travel Park in New Smyrna Beach where she operated the business and served as the social director. She also held memberships in the Junior Women’s Society, TOPS and Sacred Heart Catholic Church New Smyrna Beach. She leaves to cherish her memory her children Bart Beedle, Elizabeth Elwood, Candice Cronan, Patricia Barnes, grandchildren Bobby, Maryann, Emily, Kathryn, Kim, Lindsay and great grandchildren Olivia and Jake. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia Flagler Southeast Care Center 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141. Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, July 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 100 Fr Donlon Drive New Smyrna Beach FL 32168.

    Dear Family, I would like to express my sincere condolences at the loss of your dear loved one. Please be assured that your tears are not unnoticed by the Creator of Life. Although your deep pain will not easily disappear, praying to God will bring comfort to you as you grieve. The Bible tells us that God is "healing the broken-hearted ones and is binding up their painful spot (Psalm 147:3). May the "Father of tender mercies" and the "God of all comfort" strengthen your faith and give you courage to face the days ahead (2 Corinthians 1:3). My sincere condolences to the family.
