Obituary
Robert Alan Bouse, 69, passed away Monday, May 23rd at the Halifax Health Hospice in Port Orange, Florida. Robert was born on July 26, 1946 in Urbana, Illinois to Jack and Hilda (Busboom) Bouse of Gifford, Illinois. He attended and graduated from Rantoul Township High School. He married Eileen Kramer on Nov. 14, 1970. Bob was a Brakeman/Conductor and worked on the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad for 20 years. After leaving the railroad, he was employed as Property Manager at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida, for 15 years. The couple lived in Armstrong, Illinois until 1987, when they moved to Florida. They had recently returned to Florida after residing in Kentucky for 8 years. He was an avid fisherman, a devoted Nascar fan, and a die-hard Cubs fan. He also enjoyed traveling, woodworking, creating unique wind chimes, and hunting for vintage fishing tackle. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Bouse; daughter and son-in-law, Jessie and Vince Chmura, and granddaughter, Vivienne, of Orlando; son, Eric Bouse, of Ormond Beach; brother and sister-in-law, Jon and Rochelle Bouse, of Loda, Illinois; sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Ed Hutchinson, of Gifford, Illinois; and many other relatives and dear friends. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. A private memorial will be held at a later date.
