Obituary
Robert “Gator” Allegier was born February 9th, 1924 in Youngstown Ohio. He lived an amazing and good life, four days shy of his 96th Birthday. His passing was preceded by his father Edward, mother Genevieve (Hadley), brother Jack, sister Beverly (Krenkel), and beloved senior family members. He entered into the Army Air Corp in July 1943, and served in WW II. Upon Honorable discharge Robert married Katherine R. Koch in April of 1947, at which time they honeymooned in Ft Myers Beach, Florida. They had three sons, Jim (Patty), Tom (Debbie), and Rick (Jane). Bob was a wonderful father. He enjoyed building and making a dream home in Cleveland, Ohio. Bob worked for the East Ohio Gas Company until his retirement. Bob and Kay then moved to Fort Myers Beach. They lived a full life entertaining friends, square-dancing, and were active members of their churches. Bob was also a charter member of the Ft Myers Beach Kiwanis Club. After fifty-three of marriage to Kay, Bob was joined in spiritual union with Adelle Litchfield. Bob was the loving grandfather to Michelle (Mike) Land, Jamie, Jason (Kim), Amiee (Mark) Holan, Mike (Bri), Samantha (Michael) Falish, and Erik. He was also blessed with eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 15th, 2020 at 11: am at the Chapel by the Sea Ft Myers Beach, Florida. Donations may be sent to Fort Myers Beach Kiwanis or Chapel by the Sea Fort Myers Beach in his memory.
