Obituary
Robert (Bob) Peck passed away at age 78 in Florida October 1, 2021
after a lengthy non-COVID hospital stay.
Born in MN; grew up in St. Paul; graduated from Johnson High School in
1962 where he was active in gymnastics; worked as an Ironworker in
Local 512 for many years and moved to Florida in 2019.
Robert is survived by his wife of 49 years Joy; their three sons Jerry,
Chris and Jon; their wives Laura, Sarah and Emilie and granddaughters
Kaiya and Diana and all of the beloved pets. Other surviving family
members are his sister Sandi and her family; his brother Bud and wife
Barb and their family. Bob was predeceased by his brother Jerry and
parents Robert and Audrey.
Bob loved his wife, sons and their families very much and was a great
lover of all wildlife; giving all the animals names when they came
around. There was always “Herman” the wood stork; “Fred” the frog;
and of course “George” the goose. It didn’t matter if there were 100
geese, they were all named “George”.
He was instrumental in helping to build the beautiful Chisago Lakes Ice
Arena in Lindstrom, MN. Bob & Joy relocated to Florida in 2019 and
loved NOT dealing with snow storms and cold temps any longer. His
friends, family and neighbors all got a kick out of Bob’s sense of humor.
He will be greatly missed.
If you so desire, please donate to a local animal (or human) shelter in
his honor.
