Obituary

Robert Armand Couture, 69, of Ocala Florida and Madawaska Maine died Sept 30, 2016 surrounded by his family at his residence after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rachel (Cyr) Couture, a son Andrew Couture (Kasia), daughters, Shelly Beaulieu (Mark) and Kelly Plourde (Robert).  Bob is also survived by his sisters Patricia Salmon (Jack), Caroline Wrisley ( Burt) and a brother, Wilfred Couture ( Helen).  Bob was predeceased by a sister Ann O’Hair and his parents Wilfred and Teresa (Clavet) Couture.  Bob is survived by his loving grandchildren, Nathan, Cameron, Alexis, Damian, Clayton, Cheyanne and Katelynn.

Bob was born October 12, 1946 and raised in Madawaska Maine. Upon his graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and returned to raise his family with his childhood sweetheart Rachel (Cyr) Couture. Bob worked for Metso throughout New England and Georgia and abroad until his retirement.  Bob will forever be remembered as a strong man of faith who never refused an opportunity to spread God’s word through his weekly mens group bible studies and small group events.

A  “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held on Monday October 10 at 11:00am at the Grand Hall in the Summer Glen community (1468 SW 154th Street Rd, Ocala FL 34473).     Our hearts are aching for all of you. I know our get togethers are not as often as we'd like, but please know you all have a special place in our hearts. Bob was a wonderful man, so caring and kind, we always loved the conversations we had with him. We wish you all strength and love through this difficult time.
