I am one of Bob's early friends from the Newark, NJ days (1958 - 1962). I was introduced to him by a mutual friend when he and four other guys were re-forming the local Rock n Roll quintet known as "The Plurals". It was after the untimely and tragic death of the original lead singer, Pat Mazzillo, and they were auditioning the new lead, Mike Benz from Elizabeth. They cut only one record with Mike: "Goodnight" and "I'm Sold", and became their unofficial (and unpaid!) photographer. Their first and only record with Pat was "Miss Annie" and "Donna My Dear". All can be heard on the internet with Bob's deep bass voice prominent.
Bob, 'Rip' Wagner and sometimes Ted Bennett and I would go fishing at Denville Lake on Saturdays. Caught a few fish, but caught more stories and talk than fish! After spending quite a few Friday and Saturday nights listening to Ahmad Jamal, Dave Brubeck, Four Freshmen, and Sinatra albums, one of us finally said, "There's something wrong about this picture-why aren't we out on dates?!" It eventually was resolved...
His sense of humor back in those days drifted to the morbid, but he was always funny. Although we all went our separate ways after marriage, we still kept in touch over the years. His company and the memories will be missed.

Bob was truly a great husband and family man. He will be missed. I thank him for all the time he was in my life and very supportive over the years.
My love and prayers to Roberta who is also like a sister to me knowing each other over 50 years. We also have a beautiful painting he made and gave to us.
Love to Roberta and all her girls and grandkids and great grandkids.. Lynn

Our family was deeply saddened to hear the news of Uncle Bob's passing. He was an amazing and loving, family man and will truly be missed. One of my fondest memories is having him walk me down the aisle- he was so happy to be there to support me and I was so blessed to have him share this special day with me. His sense of humor is something I will always remember; I am sitting here picturing his smile. One of his famous sayings is one I repeat often "Only the faces change, but the players stay the same!"
I have many wonderful memories of spending time with the family and will treasure these. The last time I visited, I enjoyed seeing the paintings he had made and how he loved sharing what he had accomplished.
Heaven has gained a truly great man and he will be missed. Our love and prayers are with all of the family- Aunt Roberta, Linda, Lois, Doreen and all of the grand and great-grand kids.

    Aunt Roberta,

I am so sorry and sad to hear of Uncle Bob's passing. I have many fond memories growing up coming to your house in Bud Lake...
You always had nuts for Lisa and me to crack and enjoy in the living room while you guys talked in the other room and brought out games for us...always very thoughtful for the children :) Then there was the roast with creamy mashed potatoes you often made...and in Palm Coast you always had our favorite Entemann's donuts! Uncle Bob was funny, smart and such a joy to be around. I spent many days visiting him at the car dealership after school when I was in high school. We had lots of great chats - good times!

Both of you were always kind and generous towards me. I'll never forget you guys helping to pay for my car payment for a couple of months when I was in college and got hurt. I will always have fond memories of you both. Much love, prayers and blessings to you - Johnny
