Obituary
Robert (Bob) L. Breveglieri, died suddenly on Sunday, at home with his wife, Beverly, in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Bob was born in Springfield, MA on June 28, 1935, to Leo and Rita Breveglieri. He followed in his father’s line of work in the trucking industry and started Solar Trucking Co. Inc. of Springfield at just 33 years old and worked hard at it for the next 35 years. Bob met Beverly on a charter flight bound for Puerto Rico. That began their 43-year storybook romance. They enjoyed going to the movies, theater, dining out and playing golf. They travelled extensively throughout the country, especially to the Caribbean Islands and Florida to escape the New England winters. When it was time to retire, they found a special place to call home in Ormond Beach. Living closer to his sister Janet, he shared special time every weekday morning with her, “solving the problems of the world” over a cup of coffee, (not that it changed anything).
At age 86, he was still very active in The Falls community, playing cards and billiards with neighbors regularly. He also was a huge sports fan, rarely missing a baseball or football game, and loved to cheer on the Red Sox and NE Patriots. Only recently, the Tampa teams won him over. Bob leaves behind his wife, Beverly, a retired teacher; his sister, Janet Ferreira, of Ormond Beach; his four daughters: Linda Peck of San Diego, Ann Young of Wisconsin, Janet Costa of Ludlow, MA, and Marie Olson of Las Vegas, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and his sister-in-law, Kathy Crowley of Northbridge, MA and her husband, Dan.
A funeral service will be held at Tomoka Christian Church on Friday, January 21 at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Bob’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
