Obituary
Robert “Bobby” Girouard, of Port Orange, born in New Bedford, MA on September 3, 1957 to the late Armand Girouard and Diane (Lariviere) Girouard, passed away after a courageous battle on August 28, 2017. Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Girouard. He is survived by three sisters, Susan Jeffries (Matthew), Renee Harmon (Jason) all of Port Orange, and Lisa Benson of Hawaii; two brothers, Albert Girouard of New Bedford, MA and David Girouard of Tallahassee, along with several nieces and nephews and many good friends in Florida and New Bedford, MA. Bobby was last employed by Don Bell Signs, as a sign installer. Bobby enjoyed life to the fullest. His favorite past times were family gatherings, camping, fishing, watching his beloved Boston Red Sox’s and New England Patriots, and long quiet walks on the beach. Bobby was a loving son, brother, and uncle and will be greatly missed by his family and close friends. Bobby wanted to extend a special thanks to Dr. Warner, Dawn, Arica, Christine and staff who took exceptional care and time with him over the last twenty years. A special thanks to VITAS Home Hospice and their caring staff and Coastal Rehabilitation Center. He was a fighter to the very end, and won the battle. Bobby requested no service to be held, and to honor his passing in your own special way. His wish is to be cremated and his ashes spread in the ocean.
I'll never forget the memories and adventures we shared since 1979. Weather it was weekends in NH with friends, a round of golf in Fl with brother Paul, or a simple day at the beach with all the kids. You lived your life to the fullest, and when things got tough you surprised us all with your will to live. Your sister and I are grateful you chose to live the last 2 years of your life with us. RIP brother I'll never forget you
Matt
