Robert D. Charles, 36, of South Daytona died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at his home. Rob was born February 7, 1974 in Bay Shore Long Island, NY. He came to New Smyrna Beach as a young child. Rob graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School, Class of 1992. He enjoyed sports and created miniature sports figurines. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Norma and Clyde Charles of New Smyrna Beach who raised him. Rob is survived by his former wife, Michele Mathis of South Daytona and his mother, Deborah Donnelly of West Islip, NY.

You were taken too soon. I will always remember our poker nights and our awesome bowling team. You had a contagious smile that lit up a room. I am so sorry that we all lost touch for so long. Know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Rest in Peace my friend. Love, Jill

I'm so sorry that you were taken from us so soon. I miss you terribly. i spent my entire adult life with you and you've really changed my life.
