Obituary

Robert D. Kemp, 79 of New Smyrna Beach died peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2010 with his wife by his side.  Robert was born July 28, 1931 in New Brighton, PA.  He married Dolores Cushnie on June 14, 1952.  Robert worked as a Structural Engineer for 60 plus years at various Fortune 500 companies.  They moved permanently to New Smyrna Beach in 1993 from Aiken, SC.  Robert was a 32 degree Mason for 55 years.  His memberships include, New Smyrna Beach Masonic Lodge #149, Bahia Shrine Temple, Scottish Rite, Eastern Star New Smyrna Beach Chapter #3 and the American Legion Post #17.  He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Dolores; two sons, Tomme Lee Kemp of Florence, KY and Michael Lyle and his wife, Janyce Kemp of Columbus, OH; four grandchildren, Emily Kemp, Logan Kemp, Cherie Lee Wellman and Robert Edward Kemp; four great grandchildren; sister, Sondra Lee and her husband, George Fresty of Cleaveland, OH and brother, Otto Wayne Kemp of Raleigh, NC.
