Bob Hooker was born and raised in Orlando. After attending high school at Edgewater High he then went off to Tallahassee to attend Florida State University for a year before joining the Air Force. Bob then dedicated four years to serving his country in Vietnam as an airplane mechanic. After completing his military duty he went on to obtain his bachelor’s degree at UCF formerly Florida Technical University. Some years later Bob married Marti a single mother of two. He quickly made an impact on his young daughters lives and was never thought of as a stepfather, simply Dad. As a father Bob taught his daughters and grandchildren how to be empathetic to others needs, how to be supportive and how to love. He was truly one of the most generous men you could ever hope to meet, a blessed soul, who was loved by all that he knew. As a friend there was nothing Bob wouldn’t do for you. Bob treasured his friendships so much and we all treasured that contagious laugh. He touched so many lives and will truly be missed by everyone that knew and loved him. We will all mourn the loss of such a great man. It is now time to celebrate his life and pass on his memory through love. Join us in honoring Bob’s life by helping someone today, go out of your way to give a hug or helping hand, for it’s what he would do. We will miss you!
Love you,
Beckie
My prayers and thoughts are with you all.
It is times like these that we need encouragement from loved ones and friends. The Bible has also proved a source of encouragement to many during these times as well. The Bible at 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 tells that God is the Father of tender mercies and that he comforts us in all our tribulations. He does this by means of his word. One such example can be found at Acts 24:15 where it speaks of the resurrection of the dead. This means that you as family have the hope of seeing your dear one again. Also Isaiah 33:24 tells us that one day no person will get sick, so that means when you see your loved one again he will be healthy. Revelation 21:4 tells us that the day when persons cry for the loss of loved ones is soon to be over because it speaks of death being done away.
I hope that these thoughts from the Bible will prove to be a source of encouragement to all of the family.

known him since the 70's and could not think of an unpleasant thing to say
about him. We were bowling buds and roommates at one time. He was a
great guy. Carolyn and I moved away from Orlando and I lost contact with him.
Saw him at several bowling tournaments, but that was it. We spoke, but he
never mentioned a health issue. That's Bob. I'll miss seeing him every time I
enter a bowling lane building, but will never forget him or the memories that
surrounded our friendship. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.

Our deepest sympathy. We will miss him very much. I am sorry I just found out and wanted to pay my respects. Bob was a happy soul and always fun to be around. The emails he would send always made me laugh. If there is anything we can do please don't hesitate to call.

Bob's friendship was a great gift. As our paths took us in different directions, I was frequently reminded of his presences in my life through the email messages that always brightened my day.
In a very small way Marti, I share your loss. The memory of his spirit and energy will remain with me always. May you find comfort in the knowledge that Bob no longer suffers. May fond memories give you strength. May the loving arms of family and friends give you peace in this time of sorrow.
Sincerely,
Walter
