Obituary

Robert E Games (Bob), 82, of Fort Meyers Florida passed away on October 21, 2019 with wife Barbara and children by his side. Born December 24, 1936 to Ralph and Erma Games in Niles, Ohio. Bob, the youngest of 3 children, is predeceased by his sister Charlotte Tolson and brother Harry Games.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara, their 2 children, daughter Allison Games McClea of South Lake Tahoe, CA; daughter Stacey Elizabeth Games of Mesa, AZ; his former wife Sandra, and their 3 children Debra Lee Games of Roseville, CA; Jeffrey Todd Games of Folsom, CA; Gregory Scott Games and his wife Heather Wilcox Games of Roseville, CA; and 2 grandchildren Alex McClea and Jadyn McClea.

Bob graduated from Mineral Ridge High School in 1955 and subsequently enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in Miami, Fla where he served 4 years. Shortly after his discharge from service to his country, Bob began a nearly 35 year long career with Delta Airlines becoming a top marketing executive in Miami and later in Cincinnati, OH before retiring at 58 years old.

Bob was an avid hobbyist and loved working with his hands creating and sharing various artful crafts throughout his life. He was well known as a ‘jack of many talents’ and was beloved by his random acts of kindness and willingness to help anyone in times of need. It was often said of him, that ‘he never met a stranger’. His infectious laugh and sense of humor earned him instant friends wherever he traveled.

Working in the airline industry for so many years afforded him the ability to travel often and shared that love of travel with his family throughout his life. He was drawn to Hawaii where he vacationed often with his children, family, and friends.

Bob enjoyed the outdoors and was an accomplished skier, golfer, and fisherman among many other activities. He was blessed to be able to teach and share his many talents and life accomplishments with his wife, children, friends and family.

His soul and spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial and celebration of life will be held at St Johns church, 13060 Palomino St, Ft Meyers, Fla., on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the St. Jude’s children’s research hospital. www.stjude.org

    Dearest Barb and Family,
Remembering all the many wonderful times we shared with Bob. His laughter as he shared a joke (sometimes a bit off color), chatting while he grilled dinner, sharing his latest travel venture, a recipe, new restaurant to try or simply sharing his life views. Will greatly miss him. Hugs to all of you. Join you in your grief... Terri
