Robert G Monahan

As the sun rose on the morning of April 30, 2016, Robert (Bob, Pop) G. Monahan recently of Ocala, FL and originally of Upper Darby, PA, surrounded by the loving warmth of his family, passed peacefully into the Lord’s eternal kingdom.  Bob was born on January 9, 1934.

Bob will be remembered as an avid golfer, card player and Philadelphia Eagles fan.  But where Bob was most content was with his beloved wife of 57 years, Mary Monahan (Conlin)(Bebe); his precious daughters, Robin Lee Street and spouse George Street, Sheryl Lynn Murray and spouse Douglas D. Murray, Sr., and Wendi Ann Fink and spouse Edward Fink.  Pop glowed with pride and love when he was with, or spoke of his grandchildren, Robert Cassidy, Brian Cassidy and spouse Jenna Cassidy, Kevin Cassidy, Douglas D. Murray, Jr., Brendan Murray (preceded in passing), Samantha Monahan and great grandson, Blayze Garner.

Bob was a Patriot, his love of country was exemplified with his service to the United States Air Force from July 1951 – July 1955.

Bob was a devoted husband, friend and vivacious human being.  The void he left in our hearts can only be filled with the heartwarming stories, laughter and love he bestowed on us throughout his life

Interment will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
