Obituary
Robert John Wallace passed away on February 9th, 2021 in Ocala, FL after experiencing complications with COVID-19. He spent 47 years married to his wife, Yvette St. Cyr. He was a loving Dad to his 5 children, his 12 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
Bob was born in Portland Maine on May 20th,1942 to Irvin Wallace and Ann Winchester. He attended a few business classes in college before embarking on his path towards becoming a DJ. He retired from WTRS as a Country Radio DJ in 2007, where he would regularly have his family on his show as guests. Some career highlights were introducing Charlie Daniels, Shania Twaine, Jo Dee Messina, and The Statler Brothers at Silver Springs.
He was an early adopter of PC games, was the family IT man, and also enjoyed golf and video games.
He was an intellectual and stubborn man who loved his family fiercely and spent much of his time cultivating those relationships, mentoring them through life’s hardships and celebrating their wins with them. He was always deeply proud of all their accomplishments, helped them to believe in themselves, and taught them to chase their dreams.
He will be deeply missed by those that he has left behind, but he has left as big a mark as another person possibly can, and he still lives on through them.
Preceded in death by his brother Bruce Wallace (Portland, ME) and his parents Irvin Wallace and Ann Winchester (Derry, ME). He is survived by his 2 siblings Heidi Broker (Scarborough, ME), Cheri Crawford (Derry, NH), 5 children, Robert Wallace Jr. (Hollis, ME), Christina Hutchins (Scarborough, ME), Stephen Wallace (Ocala, FL), Suzette Kannegieter (Ocala, FL), and Maurice St. Cyr (Orlando, FL), his 12 grandchildren Justin Wallace (Biddeford, ME), Amber Brown (Harrison, ME), Eleanor Hutchins (Scarborough, ME), Nate Hutchins (Scarborough, ME), Nick Hutchins (Scarborough, ME), Joshua Wallace (Kalamazoo, MI), Shane Wallace (Westbrook, ME), Breana Wallace (Ocala, FL), Aaron Kannegieter (Ocala, FL), Tommy Kannegieter IV (Spartanburg, SC), Chantelle St. Cyr (Orlando, FL), Courtney St. Cyr (Winter Park, FL), his 6 great grandchildren Evelyn Brown (Harrison, ME), Eleanor Brown (Harrison, ME), Jayce Robertson (Kalamazoo. MI), Emma Wallace (Westbrook, ME), Kahlani Hayling (Ocala, FL), Emily St. Cyr (Winter Park, FL).
