Obituary

Robert Langhorne Lett, Jr. “RJ” passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2024. RJ was born October 8th, 1983 in Virginia Beach, VA. He leaves behind his parents Robert and Carleen Lett, brothers Trevor and Ethan, sister in law Lindsey, nephews and niece Drew, Blake, and Shay. Also left behind are countless beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, as well as many friends and his treasured pomeranians Portia and Maddie.

RJ graduated from First Colonial High School in 2001 while working at Farm Fresh. In 2004 RJ began his lifelong career at DHL Express eventually becoming Air Import Team Lead for DHL Global Forwarding. His boss called him a “One Man Army for the Import Team”. His career with DHL lasted nearly 20 years ending in 2023.

RJ loved to travel and visited many countries in the Caribbean, Mexico, and even India.

He always looked forward to Saturdays in the Fall watching his Clemson Tigers with friends and family. Other passions included theme parks, scary movies, and gossip and was often referred to as “Scoop McGee”. He kept us all in line.

RJ was such a sweet beautiful guy. A very one of a kind soul. A joy to be around. So sorry he is gone. Was blessed to spend some time with him over the last few months. Such a loss. Wonderful memories though from Clemson games, to partying, to Jamaica and beyond. Miss you buddy, everyday. Love you Brother!

My sincere condolences! I cannot imagine the pain that you are all going through as a family, my sincere prayers go out to you.
RJ.....!! I still do not believe you are gone :( my heart breaks. You were a one-man team for Imports and were really good at your job. I loved to cover for you on your rare days off because you made sure my tasks were easy when you were off. I miss the 411 chit chats we used to have. You gave me the confidence to wear my bright orange T.Sirt when I saw you dressed in one :)
You will be greatly missed, rest in heavenly peace!

Growing up in Va Beach with so many cousins was a true blessing. Despite not seeing each other much in recent years, there was a bond that was not broken. I promise to hold down the homeland fort, RJ…your spirit is always welcome. Love you and the rest of the NSB Lett clan❤️

RJ was a special person for sure. He loved with his whole heart. He was a blessing to me in a very dark time and I will never ever forget that. I opened my door for him one night but it seemed like he did more than walk through it - he walked into my heart and brought me a whole new family. I will forever love him for that. Not only were the Lett's family but their entire friend group opened their lives for me and my family. RJ did that with one knock at my door and a smile that lit up the room. A hug that took away all my worries and a quick "we got you" to show me the man he was. Prayers to all that loved him and especially the Lett's. I love you all!!!
