Obituary
Robert Lysander Wright, 86, of The Villages, FL passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018. Bob was born on July 29 1931, in East Orange, NJ to the late Lysander Edwin and Dorothy Peckham Wright.
Bob graduated East Orange High School in 1949 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He served as a corporal in the Korean War. After serving, Bob attended Upsala College and earned his Master of Business Administration degree from New York University. Bob spent his career in electrical engineering with Precision Resistor Company, which brought him to Largo, FL where he lived for 30 years.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Lillian, daughters Carolyn Dollar of Clearwater, FL; Amy Kraut (David) of Brooksville, FL; son Robert (Amy) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; grandchildren Emily and William Wright and Katarina and Eva Kraut. He was predeceased by his parents and sister Janet and brother-in-law Al Becker. Bob is also survived by his niece Gail Turner and her family.
Bob enjoyed boating on the lakes and waterways in Largo and central Florida. He loved watching his children grow up and attending his children’s many activities. He was a quiet, reserved role model. He told his kids often, “Call me whenever you need me.”
A celebration of his life will take place with family and friends at a later date.
