Obituary
Robert Steven May, 72, of Apopka, Florida previously of Wheelersburg, Ohio, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Robert served our country In the Marine Corps. Serving as a Sergeant in the Vietnam War. He was a contractor in the construction industry. He also was a member of the First Baptist Sweetwater in Longwood, Florida. He is survived by his beloved wife Melinda Lynn May of Apopka, daughter: Dianna (Brett) May of DeLand, Leigh (Billy) Van Casteren of Edgewater, Julie (Jeff) Detzel of Longwood, Kim Haverly of Knoxville, TN. Sisters Elaine Miller, Judy Allen, Sue Warner and Sister In Law, Sue May all of Wheelersburg, OH. In Law’s: James (Rebecca) Harvey, nephew Greg (Rema) McClintik, Mike Lehn and great nephew Zach Lehn and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Whitney Haverly. Best friends, John (Marlene) Dalton and Bob (Lisa) Lacey and Leticia Diaz Cruz of Orlando. He had a host of other family members and friends. He never met a stranger and would help anyone. A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 at 3 P.M. at First Baptist Sweetwater, Longwood, Florida with Dr. Charles “Buddy” Parrish officiating.
