Robert “Bob” Allan Mott, 72, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 after suffering a stroke in 2018 and 2019. He was born on May 10, 1947, to the late William Tudor and Grace Loraine (Fisher) Mott at Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, IL. He attended Prospect High School in Mt Prospect, Illinois until his graduation in 1966. Bob continued his education at Culver Stockton College in Canton, Missouri where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts major in History and Political Science and a minor in Business Administration on June 2, 1969. He was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. On August 15, 1970, Bob married his college sweetheart, Rosalyn Tarasi, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Bob served in the Army Reserves as a Cryptanalytic Specialist. He worked as a Municipal Securities representative for Continental Bank, Chicago, IL, First National Bank, Chicago, IL, Howe Barnes Investments, Inc., Chicago, IL, Vining Sparks Investments, Chicago, IL. Bob and Rosalyn resided in Leesburg, Florida for the past 3 years, and previously lived in Geneva, Illinois. Bob will be remembered by his warm, friendly, and easy-going manner. Those who met him found him immediately likeable.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister-in-law, Jacqueline (Zelent) Mott; and his son Jonathan Robert Mott.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rosalyn; his daughter, Jana Lynn; and his brother Thomas.
