Learned of this sad event from Mike; too late to attend. My loss. Dr. Bob and I shared some great and memorable times in the clinic and lab. Learned much from one another and even published an article together with a great story. Too little time, too late, our time moves on and we live each day as if it is our last, Bob did, great times, great man, I know Jim was glad when he came thru the Gates. ! Mountaineer fan too!

My brother, Frank, and sisters, Sue and Mary Jane, join with me in sending our very deepest sympathy to Yvonne, Barbara, and Chip. We knew them years ago when our Dads worked together at the VA Center in Martinsburg. Bobby was a wonderful friend and High School classmate. He and Yvonne, another classmate, touched so many lives. He seemed to have carried out his lifelong devotion to the care of others. Our thoughts go out to you and to your respective families. "The Hubbards"

I am saddened to learn the loss of Dr. R. Paul. I am blessed to have known him with his warm smile, soft tone and his compassionate, kind and gentle spirit. I will be forever grateful to him as he afforded me my first opportunity to work with him at the Orlando VA Medical Center. I remember one of his many generous displays of kindness as he often shared his and his wife Yvonne's delicious blueberry muffins. Mmm mmm good. He is and will always be truly missed. My prayers are extended to his loving family, friends and all who loved him. May your hearts be comforted.

I remember Dr Paul as a gentleman and a gentle man, forever kind and kind hearted, soft spoken but not a push over. Down to earth. A pleasure to work with and to talk with when our paths crossed in the halls of the clinic. The world has lost a good man. God be with you Robert Paul and with your family.

To my old friend Bob Paul,
My heart dropped when Dave Christian called to let me know you had passed away. There are no words that I can find to ease the pain or sadness Yvonne and the rest of your family and friends are having right now. Rest assured, you will never be forgotten. Last year, I came close to death and now realize life is too short. Back in January, I came across a video tape of when we were moving from the old VA Clinic in Orlando to the new one in Winter Park. I told myself I had to make copies to send to you and Dave Christian. A month passed, and I finally made copies. I should have gotten them in the mail back in February, but I did not and now you’re gone. I moved to a new home. The discs are in storage, and I can’t find them. I promise you this; I will find them when we settle into our new home and will send the copy to Yvonne. Again, life is too short, and I let it slip away again. I know you are in heaven because you were the best. Thank you for being my friend. You will truly be missed.
    Your friend,
    Dan

Sorry to hear about Bob. He, Marion and Denny Pentony ate lunch together many times in high school along with some after hours adventures. We also went to the VA Center to play poker with him the year he was off from school so much. He was a good guy and I considered him a good friend in those days. I know the loss you are feeling as I lost my wife of 52 years in September. It is hard and I'll pray for you.
