Obituary
Robert “Robbie” Gordon Plinzke, age 58, died of squamous cell carcinoma of the neck on July 20, 2021, in Celebration, FL.
Robbie is survived by his mother, Patricia Schlemmer, of The Villages, FL; his brother, Kevin Plinzke and family of The Villages, FL and his sister, Laura Bryant and family of Virginia Beach, VA, his uncle Ronald Herdman, TX, two nieces, two nephews and many cousins. He is preceded in death by his father Donald Plinzke, stepfather Richard Schlemmer, his aunt Virginia Herdman, his brother Thomas Otto Plinzke, of Charlotte, NC and his sister, Faith Plinzke.
Robbie was born on March 31 in 1963, to parents Patricia Schlemmer and Donald Plinzke. He graduated from Penfield High School in 1981 where he than moved to Mount Dora, Florida.
Robbie was a light-hearted character who was quite a bit if a trickster. He enjoyed singing and theatre, and often entered singing contests. Robbie loved golf and Nascar, but had a burning passion for football, specifically the Buffalo Bills.
Robbie’s main profession was cooking. As a child Robbie and his siblings would often play “Restaurant.” Robbie was of course always the chef and owned the kitchen.
The family would like to offer a special thanks to PJ for the pleasure of volunteering at the living drama theatre the last months of his life.
Robbie is loved and his passing will leave a void in many lives.
