Obituary
Robert Roland Thibodeau, 74, of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on February 23, 2018 at the Gulf Coast Medical Center. He was born on September 29, 1943 in Fitchburg, Massachusetts to the late Ronaldo Paul and Aurore (Dubois) Thibodeau. Bob was a Veteran of the United States Navy and a member of the Knights of a Columbus, the Jaycees, and St. Raphael Catholic Church. He was on the Residents Welcoming Committee and he love to volunteer at the Senior Center. Bob was very friendly, outgoing, loved his music, being around people, and was always happy-go-lucky. He was a significant man of faith and was known to have organized Rosary Bead Sessions. He loved watching his Red Sox, Patriots, and sometimes the Bruins. Most of all Bob adored his wife Pat whom he finally convinced to marry him. He found great joy in family, especially with his grandchildren, which he loved dearly. Bob was a true Salesperson at heart and could easily justify his drumstick ice cream cone, Sun Chips, Diet Coke, and cigarettes. He will be greatly missed by his smile and his laughter will never be forgotten. Halloween will never be the same, Bob is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Patricia (Fountain) Thibodeau of Lehigh Acres, Florida; his daughter, Kathryn Mary Gale of Lehigh Acres, Florida; his son, Steven Thibodeau and his wife Vilma (Villarreal) of Greenville, South Carolina; his son, Matthew J. Thibodeau and his wife Logan (Mallon) of Fort Myers, Florida; his stepdaughter, Tammy (Murnane) Haraty of Three River, MA; his sisters, Anita Comeau and her husband Joseph of Fitchburg, MA; and Ann Lincoln and her husband Robert of Spring Hill, FL; his grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ronaldo Paul and Aurore (Dubois) Thibodeau, his brother Joseph, and his sister Pauline Koslowski. Visitation will be held on February 28, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Affordable Cremations by Baldwin Brothers, 1605 Colonial Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL. Bob’s Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 10:00 am at the St. Raphael Catholic Church, 2514 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres, FL, with Military Honors rendered by the United States Navy.
