Obituary
Robert “Bob” Stevens Tabor, 86, of Ellenburg Depot, N.Y., passed away May 4, 2020, at his daughter’s residence in Cape Coral, FL. Born June 27, 1933 in Liberty, NY., he was the son of Stevens Gilbert Tabor and Martha May Fraser. Growing up in New York, Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957. He earned an Associates Degree in Troy, NY., and later worked as a clean air engineer for IBM. His involvements in N.Y. included The Dover Plains J.H. Ketcham Hose Co., and Crosspoint Church in FL. After retiring, Bob became a “snowbird” moving to Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling in his later years. He was a gentle, kind, and caring man, who loved life. Surviving are his daughter Lecia (John) Katsandris of Cape Coral, FL., granddaughters Rebekah Katsandris of New Rochelle, NY., and Sarah Katsandris of Cape Coral, FL., daughter Bea (Scott) Boyd of Dover Plains, NY., granddaughter Lakesha Simone of Wingdale, NY., and grandson Robi Simone of Bronx, NY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society, Fort Myers, assisted with arrangements.
