I was saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I was fortunate to have met him through his wife, Donna. Bob was very fun to be around, and it was enjoyable to share golfing stories with him. My wife and I extend our condolences to Donna and the rest of his family.

We first met Bob and Donna at one of the Sunday morning looper golf outings. We were paired with them. We hit it right off and that outing started the friendship.
Bob and I partnered to play golf. Playing with Bob was fantastic. We hardly ever won, but never have I played with better partner. Talking trash to others and then losing was how we rolled! The fun times continued throughout the years.
Bob and I liked the same sports and the same teams, Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, Penn State … it was yet another thing we used to talk about.
Bob earned the name Birdie Bobbie when we were out playing and the other players that day were an older asian couple. Bob was “on” that day and calmly sank a 10 foot birdie. The Asian couple immediately starting calling him “Birdie Bobby”. It stuck and we laughed about it just a month or so ago.
    - [ ] Bob will be missed and his good memories will be shared for years to come. Miss you Bob. Donna please find the strength to endure.

It is rare that two couples become such good friends. The 4 of us became “Loopers” around the same time. 12 years later and my heart is filled with memories, good times, shared sadness and always two amazing people we could always depend on. With the twist of a kaleidoscope, reality changed and we are left feeling such sadness and loss. It was a joy seeing how Bob loved Donna and how that love and devotion was pure to the very end. Bob was a man that could always be depended on and his kindness was genuine and sincere. We will miss him and are thankful he was part of our lives.
