Obituary
Robert Max Stumpf, passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, April 8, 2021. He was born October 25, 1938 in Pittsburg, PA to Hazel Leona Stumpf nee Smith & George William Stumpf.
Robert Max Stumpf joined the Army in 1958 & served in Korea in the DMZ (military police monitoring the border). He had an honorable discharge as a Sergeant in 1964. He was a lineman for the phone company & retired a supervisor from Sprint. He spent the remainder of his life working as a night security guard, known as “The Sherriff of Riverbend”. He enjoyed writing poetry (he occasionally used the pseudonym of Sand Stone), creating interior design art pieces, hunting, shooting & spending time with family.
1963 he married Donna Lee Stone/Turcic & had 2 children, Rob Roy Stumpf born August 1, 1964 & Timothy John Stumpf born March, 1966. They divorced 1966.
1967 he married Patsy Marie McKeehan & had 1 son, Robert Matthew Stumpf. They divorced 1986.
1987 he married Elizabeth Ann Miller. They divorced 1997.
In Fort Myers, FL, he raised his son Robert Matthew Stumpf, along with Stanley Dennis Humphries & Christopher Cecile Humphries, whom were sons of Patsy Marie’s previous marriage.
His son, Robert Matthew, married Andrea Jean Kirkwood & had 2 children, Zachary Robert Stumpf, born 1997, & Dakota Jean Stumpf, born 2003.
He was preceded in death by his mother Hazel, father George, brother William & son Robert. He is survived by his 2 grandchildren Zachary & Dakota, daughter in law Andrea, nieces Sandra, Shari & nephew Mark.
