Obituary
On Monday afternoon, February 24, 2025, my loving husband went home to the Savior he loved. After battling Lewy Body Dementia for several years, his mind and body are now at peace.
Bob was a Daytona native, born at Halifax Hospital. A proud member of the Seabreeze Marching 100, he played bass drum, and graduated c/o ’69. After receiving his AA at DBCC, he began his career with Florida Power & Light, and was a part of the FPL “family” for 37 years.
Bob loved being outdoors and enjoyed ALL watersports. Through the years, he waterskied, windsurfed, sailed, kayaked and simply thrived in the ocean and river. He imparted this passion to our son Travis, and MANY memorable adventures ensued! The ocean will soon welcome them back as their remains are returned to the place they loved. He also relished his many bike rides and bridge walks through the years, and was an avid “aerobics guy” back in the day!
Bob and I were married for 51 years, after dating for 4 years prior. Although we are separated now, our reunion is assured. Bob’s faith in Jesus is now “sight” and allowed him to “run the race” faithfully to the end. He loved sharing that faith, and helping others whenever he could.
Bob was preceded in death by his dear parents and son Travis. He is survived by his loving wife Pam, his dear sister Sylvia and nieces and nephews, Kim, Sean, Jennifer, Alan, Patty and their families. He also leaves behind many dear friends, church family and his 4 kitties – Jonah, Miki, Bebe & Kenny. I will honor his wishes to have no formal service, but please keep his memory alive by loving one another well, lending a helping hand, and seeking the Lord with all your hearts.
Godspeed, my Love! You are forever in our hearts!
Pam will be looked after and loved. Till we see you again my sweet friend!!!!
