Obituary

Robert Wallace Knowles, 76, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2014. He was born in Wheeling on January 12, 1938, a son of the late Earl Jr. and Virginia (Cook) Knowles. Bob graduated from Wheeling High School and attended West Virginia University. He enjoyed a 27 year career with the Wheeling Fire Department, retiring in 1988 as the Assistant Fire Chief. Bob relocated to Orlando in 1994. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 23 years Jacqueline Knowles; daughters Lisa Wolf (Timothy) of Tampa, Florida and Shelley Soltis (Kenneth) of Orlando, Florida; son Robert Knowles of Orlando, Florida; step-daughter Nicole Hudnall of Charleston, West Virginia; and grandchildren Cameron Soltis, Kaitlyn Soltis, Tyler Wolf and Carter Wolf. A celebration of his life will be held in Orlando, Florida at a later date.
